SUMMARY:Bail and Bond High-Level Dialogue
DESCRIPTION:The Bail and Bond High-Level Dialogue: Launch\, Handover and Co
 nversation on Matters Bail and Bond has formally marked the end of term of
  Kenya’s Bail and Bond Implementation Committee.\n\nHeld in Nairobi on 1
 3 February 2020\, the High-Level Dialogue brought together justice sector 
 stakeholders\, development partners and the media to reflect on the Commit
 tee’s accomplishments. The occasion involved a high-level launch and han
 ding over ceremony of the Committee’s outputs to the Chair of the NCAJ\,
  Hon Chief Justice Maraga.\n\nThe Committee launched a simplified version 
 of the Bail and Bond Policy Guidelines Pocket Book\, Bail and Bond Digests
  (Compendium)\, Bail and Bond Course Trainees' Guide and Trainers' Manual.
 \n\nAmong the outputs handed over by Committee Chairperson\, Hon. Lady Jus
 tice Jessie Lesiit\, to the NCAJ are updated Bail and Bond Policy Guidelin
 es\, a draft legislative proposal on bail and bond\, a Monitoring and Eval
 uation Report\, communication materials and the Committee’s end of term 
 status report.\n\nThis event was supported by the European Union and the U
 N Office on Drugs and Crime through the Programme for Legal Empowerment an
 d Aid Delivery in Kenya.\n\nBail and bond administration will remain a pri
 ority area for the NCAJ. The Committee has made recommendations to the NCA
 J and to various justice institutions on measures to be adopted in order t
 o sustain the gains made by the Committee.\nSensitization campaign\nTo dow
